چکیده

Over the past few decades, increasing demand for light weight material have grown in various applications including aerospace, and other structural with added focus on green engineering sustainability. Particularly aerospace industries, utilisation of carbon fiber composites results increased rate pollution due to its inability be repaired recycled. Therefore, it is envisaged that migrating biocomposites could solution forward depending manufacturing techniques. This life cycle assessment concentrates understanding emission vacuum bagged recycling abilities. In this study, indicated a global warming potential (GWP) 54 kgCO2Eq. whereas showcased 12 implies GWP were approximately four times less than if pesticides spinning are controlled, further reduced along overall energy consumption emissions. Although lower environmental impact mostly every scenario, transition towards still requires research fulfil gaps regards enhancement mechanical properties compared composites.

Effect of Fiber Surface Treatment on Wear Characteristics of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polyamide 6 Composites

Ozone modification method and air-oxidation were used for the surface treatment of polyacrylonitrile(PAN)-based carbon fiber. The surface characteristics of carbon fibers were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The interfacial properties of carbon fiber reinforced polyamide 6 (CF/PA6) composites were investigated by means of the single fiber pull-out tests. As a result...

PREDICTING THE STIFFNESS OF BIAXIAL BRAIDED FIBER COMPOSITES BY INCORPORATION OF CARBON NANO FIBER

In this study, carbon nano fibers (CNFs) were mixed into epoxy resin through a magnetic stirrer and again mixed using ultra sonicator. Using hand layup technique, biaxial braided fiber composites were prepared with unfilled, 0.2, 0.5 and 1 wt% CNF. Tensile test and shear test was performed to identify the tensile strength and shear strength of the composites. Fractured surface of the tensile sp...

Life cycle energy analysis of fiber-reinforced composites

Life cycle assessment is a technique to assess environmental aspects associated with a product or process by identifying energy, materials, and emissions over its life cycle. The energy analysis includes four stages of a life cycle: material production phase, manufacturing phase, use phase, and end-of-life phase. In this study, the life cycle energy of fiber-reinforced composites manufactured b...

Carbon Fiber Reinforced Bismaleimide Composites

Bismaleimide (BMI) resins are developed very rapidly due to the demands of the defense and aerospace industries. They are cross-linked polymers which process like epoxy resins but have an upper use temperature of 230°C, compared to the epoxy upper use temperature of 175°C. Also due to the available intrinsic properties of BMI resins such as higher thermal stability and lower toxicity than those...
